Getting older sucks. It really does. I'm just going to be honest about it. Hell, I could go back just five years ago and feel a lot younger than I do these days. Bones creaking, muscles aching. It's a pain. Literally a pain.
I just went to the eye doctor yesterday. It was my normal yearly eye exam and was told there was a significant change in my prescription. The word bifocals was spoken. That did not go over well at all. What am I some granny who can't see any longer?
Now granted, I have noticed over the past year that when I'm reading something, my kindle, my phone, a menu at a restaurant, I need to take my glasses off in order to actually see what I'm looking at. But come on, bifocals. I just turned 43.
So I ordered my new glasses, which are really cute if I do say so myself. Minus the bifocals. The lady who was helping me with the frames told me that because my distance vision had changed, it was going to make my near eyesight even worse.
Well that's just great.
I told her I would like to try it out without the bifocals first. So I'm going to do that. I'll find out in a week whether or not I made the right decision. Which I already know that I did not. So I guess I'll be telling them just to go and add the bifocals into them.
